• Sod Turning Ceremony - (May 6th 2005)
  100 million Euro Fota Retail and Business Park to create 1,200 Jobs.
  Construction of Fota Retail and Business Park, a 100 million euro commercial project at Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork has commenced, following a “sod turning” ceremony today (May 6th ) by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheál Martin T.D.

• Bowen are awarded contract for construction of first phase - (December 13th 2005)
  Bowen Construction commenced on site on Monday 25th April 2005 on the Car Showroom and the site works to the front of the park. Work is due to complete at Christmas 2005. The first office block is due to commence early in January. 50% of this unit is already let.

• Grant of full Planning Permission -
  A decision to Grant Permission was issued by Cork County Council for the demolition of all existing buildings on the site. This decision includes the re-positioning of the retail warehousing to a more focal point in the centre of the park. The warehouse section is now positioned at the eastern side.
